Senior Software Engineer Your Job The Team

To achieve this goal, the Metadata & Taxonomy team is tasked with collecting structured data about every job seeker and available job. Manually curated taxonomies, rule based systems, machine learning models, highly available APIs, reusable UI components, and user friendly administrative tools all work together to make this a reality.
Your job
As a software engineer in the Taxonomy Data team, you will help design, implement, and maintain the taxonomy management tools, NLP algorithms/models, and machine learning pipelines that enable structured data generation. You will also collaborate with other teams across Indeed to power configurable product experiences using metadata.
Responsibilities
Partner with teammates to design and implement algorithms, models, and tools for structured data generation
Collaborate with the taxonomy operations team to provide tools which support their workflow
Raise the technical bar of the team through code reviews, architecture, and design reviews. Introducing best practices and new technologies as appropriate.
Quickly tackle and resolve technical challenges in a variety of systems and components.
Write technical documentation and give presentations on using our systems.
Who You Are We are looking for someone who is passionate about software engineering, loves intellectual challenges, is eager to learn, is self driven, and wants to work with a variety of technologies to solve interesting problems. You should also be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical colleagues across different teams, roles, and backgrounds.
Experience:
3- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer Good spoken and written communication skills Experience working on projects that span multiple teams Experience in web development technologies such as Java, Python, Typescript, React, Spring, gRPC, REST Preferred:
Experience in Hadoop, Spark, Message Queue Experience in Machine Learning, like Neural Network, Tensorflow, Kubeflow Experience in Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Graph, Information Retrieval Experience with public cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, etc)
